somebody's poisoned the water hole

" a kiss can mean so many different things. "
-- modern family

who doesn't love kisses? I mean, the chocolate kisses aren't the type I prefer..if it's chocolate we're talking about, I need the doves. but really, you can kiss different people and it signifies different things. kissing my parents is much different than kissing my best friends. kissing my boyfriend is much different than kissing a puppy. I think kissing is the easiest way to seal the moment. there are degrees of kissing, there are different places to kiss. they hold a lot more power than we realize; kissing on the first date seals the fact that you are interested in that person. kissing for the last time almost preserves every kiss since that first one. kissing a stranger can break what you have with the most familiar person in your life. kissing a tourist could make their day. either way, it's never a good thing to underestimate the value of a kiss. sometimes people wait before they let it happen, keep it on their pedestal. other people choose to use it as an icebreaker, not realizing the effect that every first kiss with a person still remains important. I think that is something people find out later down the road, you know, when they make peace with everything.

I think besides the first kiss with a person, the best kiss is the one you've had to wait for. maybe to you that means the same thing. you can't deny that it's the best. I find that the most vivid kisses in my memory are the ones that still feel like the first one. the ones that still give me the nervous spark..the ones that basically leave me wanting more.
