got you hypnotized

" everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves. "
-- carl gustav jung

you know what always pissed me off? when you would genuinely hate someone, and people would say it's because you're jealous. like no, I seriously hate them. anyways, I will say, I used to get irritated by people who were very similar to myself. my sister has this habit of psychoanalyzing everybody to their core, so she can justify why they are psycho to begin with. why? because she has a soul, unlike her younger sister. ha. but, I will say when I have the time and brain capacity, the times I choose to psychoanalyze those who irritate me the most, I find myself seeing more similarities between us, therefore seeing my problems, therefore gaining more self-awareness. I think anybody can gain self-awareness, it just takes a few good friends putting you in your place, and admitting who you actually are. I mean, with my personality, it's very easy to distinguish between those who are fake and those who are putting on a friendly show. and hell yeah, that bothers me. personality clashes really only happen when people are overly compensating. put me in a room with another obnoxious girl, I don't need to prove I'm obnoxious, personalities shouldn't be a competition. neither should attention. but to be completely honest, nobody can explain why certain things irritate people; the beauty of human nature is that we always want to know why. curiosity never dies. neither does competition. if those go hand in hand, then being irritated comes naturally also. especially if you lose. not the competition, but sight of yourself.

questions lead to answers. sometimes not the answer you were hoping for, but you still learn something. just don't lose sight of reality, so that way you feel less like an idiot. cats are cute. from a distance. I'm more of a dog person. but people tell me I act like a cat sometimes. basically, the people who get to see my sassy side. lovely.
